Adjusting Our Lens – Seeing With New Eyes

Happy Saturday morning!!

While reading this poem on a blog this morning, it hit home and reminded me of previously shot photos of ice on the windows obscuring the outside view.

“Periodically a shadow may hover over our lives,
but don’t allow it to shut out or hide
the beauty beneath.”
~ Francine Gassette ~

As I read these words, this is what I visualized.

The photos were taken using various settings while focusing on the same view in front of me. The first was taken early, the other two one after the other. Even as I shot the photos, I was thinking when the shadows in life distort our view of the world if we slowly adjust our lens, eventually the shadows begin to fade and the beauty awaiting outside comes into focus. When standing back looking individually at the photos, all have their own beauty. It is just how we view and think about them that gives it meaning. The same occurs when looking at the world around us. Our thoughts are what we attract into the world around us. If we can step back and look at the whole of any situation there is always beauty within the shadows. Adjusting our thoughts can refocus the picture we see in front of us.

May you adjust your lens and refuse to see the beauty in your world today. Raise your vibration and attract more beauty into your life.

Love and Light!

  1. The outer world is a reflection of our inner reality. Yes, raising our vibration. A great reminder. Thanks!

  2. This is a simple and effective way of speaking of a great spiritual truth.
