The Daily Post Weekly Challenge – Enveloped

Many fallen trees in the forest were covered in lichen and moss as I traveled through the woods. The greens were quite vivid and interesting. As you can see on this tree there are some blues and whites mixed which makes this looks like an artists palette.

The skunk cabbage has been plentiful along my walks as well. They, like lettuce, are enveloped rolling outward from the center. Love the green and sun shining through displaying the inner workings. Each leaf shows the intricate system carrying oxygen and fluid throughout the plant and into the ground. It also reminds me of paper rolled to capture water. In this case the water is captured and fed to the plant.

  3. It’s funny because when I saw that challenge, in my mind’s eye I saw exactly that. So again, Sandy. We are on the same wavelength.
