The Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge – “Monochromatic”

This week’s challenge was perfect for some of my recent photos. Love taking this type of photo as the photographer must slow down, take a deep breath and relax when capturing the moment. There is no rushing this. One must be slow and mindful. To capture the photos of the dragonflies I sat on the beach near the marsh with camera in hand patiently waiting for the right moment. While cat sitting for my son I was able to capture his cat in a a rare moment of stillness. Walking out his back door on the morning of the 4th of July it felt like a magical world opened before me. The dew on the clover and the water dripping from the trees looked like jewels decorating nature.

Hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed capturing them.

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Monochromatic.” Check out the Daily Post to see what others have been inspired to share.

Pick up your camera and take a slow, mindful walk in nature to see the magic that you will discover as a new world opens before you.

  2. Love the cat’s expression. Or perhaps lack thereof.
