This week, share with us a layered image of your own. The topic is wide open, as long as you focus on the interplay of depth, density, and texture (or just choose one of these elements if you’d like). Strata of clouds, a shirt collar peeking through a sweater, a cross-section of an onion: you can keep your interpretation as literal or as figurative as you wish.
As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives. ~ Henry David Thoreau ~
We succeed in life by repetition of new ways, new thoughts, new actions that lead in the direction of where we want our journey to take us. See the world with fresh eyes, like a child, and your world will open up to new possibilities, adventures, discoveries of what you are truly capable of accomplishing. Get in touch with nature, open your senses and experience the mental, physical, and spiritual healing properties of nature. Sit still in a natural environment and listen to your inner guidance – you know the way – you just have to be still, listen and then take small action steps.
If your mental pathway is deeply set and leading you in the wrong direction, start today to take the first step along a new path. One small step everyday in the direction of your dreams will begin to open new pathways to reaching your goals.
Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude. ~ Thomas Jefferson ~
