What does pedestrian mean to you? Perhaps this is a great chance to go out and practice some street photography. Maybe you’ll capture something truly “pedestrian” — something that could use a dose of inspiration. Regardless of how you interpret this challenge, I’m looking forward to seeing the results.
“Streets and their sidewalks, the main public space of the city, are its most vital organ.” ~ Jane Jacobs ~
New York City is one place where you can be guaranteed to see thousands of pedestrians. This is especially true when they have gathered for a protest. The March for Science was a very calm event with everyone watching out for one another.
“New York is the only city in the world where you can get run down on the sidewalk by a pedestrian.” ~ Russell Baker
This was not the case on this day in NYC but I have witnessed this on other occasions as people rush from here to there.
Peaceful protests – gathering of thousands of pedestrians. This was one of many marches throughout the world.
Personally, I rather be in the woods surrounded by trees as they bring a sense of peace and safety that is not found within crowded city streets.
