Taking Small Steps to Reach Goals in 2015

This is how I feel about 2015!!

Feeling Great!!

Feeling Great!!

So excited about the steps I have taken thus far to attract my dreams in 2015. Let me share a little with you:

  • Joined the gym right down the road from my house, which is also on my way home
  • Walked four out of five days
  • Cleared the holiday junk food out of the cabinets and refrigerator
  • Purchased healthy food at the grocery store and have been preparing healthy meals and smoothies
  • Bring my own lunch, bottle of water, and coffee/tea to work with me
  • Prepared a budget for 2015 with a goal to pay off some debt – already paid off a department store charge card
  • Cleaned up the holiday decorations and all of the rooms in my home – now I have a writing area plus a create area so I have a place to set up my sewing machine
  • Meditated four times in the past five days
  • Had one person contact me out of the blue today to hire me as her life coach – we start this Sunday!
  • Prepared my Vision Board with my niece
  • Reached out to Catholic Charities program to volunteer as a life coach for at-risk youth
  • Practiced taking pictures on my new camera while walking in the preserve behind my home
  • Tonight I finished my DVD of old movies with iMemories and ordered one for myself and one for each of my three children.

Phew! It is only January 5th and I have been very busy taking the steps toward reaching my goals. Very excited about my upcoming writing course with UCLA that starts in two weeks and my Intermediary Therapeutic Touch classes that start in March.

You can really accomplish quite a bit working a full-time if you don’t sit in front of the television or constantly text. I love technology but use it to my advantage to reach my goals. Stopping to take in a movie, especially a comedy can be very good for you. Reading a book instead of sitting in front of the television can be beneficial as well. I had the cable turned off over a year ago and have never missed it. Just think how much money is saved when the cable is cancelled – enough for you to take a class, join a gym, or maybe take a mini-vacation. Just something to think about. What about spending more time with your children or friends playing games, hiking, dancing. The list is never ending.

What are your plans for 2015? If you don’t have a plan, haven’t written down what you want to attract, or are unsure please contact me and let’s see if I can provide guidance to help you reach your goals.

Love and Light,

Sandy

Change Your Life

What steps will you take in 2015 to change your life?

What steps will you take in 2015 to change your life?

What steps can you take in 2015 to make the changes you want to see in your life? Now is the time of year to prepare for next year. I am sure you have heard the expression, write it down make it happen. If you can sit down this weekend and take time to review your life, where you are stagnated or would like to continue to see improvement then write down what you would like life to look like. Include financial, relationship, career, family, home, community, spiritual and any other areas that you would like to include. I too will be journaling in my new journal to write down what I want life to be in 2015. I will also be reviewing this past years journals and the ending journal from 2013. This is the year to improve and expand our lives in the direction of our choice.

Make it Happen

Make it Happen

I would love to hear if you follow through with writing it down and following up with how you are making out through the year. In turn, I will share my own. Looking forward to a successful, healthy, happy and loving New Year.

Love and Light,
Sandy

Words

Little flower buds

Today was a day filled with discovery – reviewing journals, peeking into the past remaining open to what I would discover. In one journal I found 20 awesome words written several years ago and decided to share a few. I am not really certain of the source so I looked them up in the dictionary to verify. With each word I reflected on my own journey that I continue through self-reflection as I  discover my inner-self and all those hidden likes, desires, and passions that were packed away in my earlier years. I chose to share four:

Sophrosyne (so-fro-sU-nA) (n)

A healthy state of mind, characterized by self-control, moderation, and a deep awareness of one’s true self resulting in true happiness

Vorfreude (for-froi-duh) (n)

The joyful, intense application that comes from imagining future pleasures

Numinous (nU-mi-nus) (adj)

Describing an experience that makes you fearful yet fascinated – powerful personal feeling of being overwhelmed and fearful in the presence of manifesting your desire

Ostranenie (os-tra-nen-E) (n)

Encouraging people to see common things as strange, wild or unfamiliar, defamiliarizing what is known in order to know it differently or more deeply

All of these words bring us to that place in life where visioning, moderation, slowing down, becoming aware of your passions and desires result numinous experiences. I live a life of moderation with a deep awareness of my happiness every day upon waking. My vision board changes regularly as I witness the expression on the board come to life before me. It is by seeing the world around with new eyes that your  life begins to unfold in profound and beautiful ways. Miracles happen everyday and yet we take these miraculous events for granted.

If you are interested in taking a journey of self-discovery and would like a free consultation please complete the form below and we will set a convenient date and time. Let today be the day that you begin your journey right in the comfort of your own home.

Love and Light,

Sandy

Feeling Inspired by Nature

Inspiration!

Inspiration!

Today I feel inspired by the nature that surrounds me.

When in need of inspiration, nature is where I turn. While walking under a waterfall yesterday I was drawn to how small my presence was in comparison. To some people this is frightening because they want to feel the world belongs to them. It doesn’t. We are mere visitors and should show respect to the nature that we have been blessed to witness. It is much larger than we are and will survive when we are no longer present.

What does nature do for me? It allows me to find peace in lying on a bed of green grass in summer and snow covered meadows in winter. Anytime I am walking in the woods I am inspired by my smallness in comparison with the towering trees rising above me. I love how the canopy opens to the sky. Whenever I experience this sight it makes me think of life and how through the darkness we find light. This is especially true when sitting under an dark night sky lit up by the stars when untouched by the lights of a city. I am always impressed by the vastness of the Universe on those nights. It’s the same feeling as standing at the edge of the ocean looking out to the enormity of the sea spreading in front of me in all directions.

I am not here to change the whole world but I can change myself, my reaction to those around me, to become a kinder, loving person. I can reach out and help those around me. Changing my own focus in life has allowed me to ‘see’ the world through different eyes. I know that I can play my part by recycling, purchasing less packaged items, reducing the amount of needless stuff I purchase, and the amount of water I use. I can plant trees for the next generation to enjoy. It is not about me. I am here to preserve this world and make it a little better for those coming behind me.

That is the person I want to be. The one who provides guidance and inspiration to those who want more in life. If you want to learn how to enjoy simplicity while reaching your goals, contact me and I will guide you toward living a meaningful, inspired life.

I shall take a walk and possibly ride on the swing in the park today!

Love and Light,
Sandy
