This week I wasn’t sure that I had photos for off-season then I remembered New Paltz, New York in March. In the summer people visit New Paltz to shop, visit the cute little village, attend events and such. This is a college town that seemed to sleep a bit in March. The shops had one or two other patrons so it was very easy to visit the little shops without having to wait. The salespeople were very friendly and willing to spend time discussing items with you as well.
Although there was enough snow on the ground just outside of the village for us to enjoy snow-shoeing as we passed through we decided to take advantage of the lull of the crowds. As you will see from the photos, some shops had clothing placed out in front as in the summer months, others still had small amounts of snow on the ground in front. It was a warm day and perfect for browsing in the quiet little shops while the droves of visitors were home waiting for warm summer days.
